Rehwinkels baan in Barcelona bestaat niet

Burgemeester Rehwinkel, die vertrekt uit Groningen om in Barcelona fulltime rampenmanager te worden, heeft deze baan min of meer verzonnen. In Spanje kennen ze de functie niet en rekenen ze ook niet op Rehwinkels komst. Dat meldt het Algemeen Dagblad. 'Wij weten van niets,' was gisteren de reactie op het hoofdkantoor van de UCLG, het internationaal verbond van gemeenten waar Rehwinkel op vrijwilligersbasis zegt te gaan werken, tegen het AD. 'De functie bestaat niet. Heel misschien in de toekomst.'

Rehwinkel (PvdA) maakte begin deze maand onverwacht bekend zijn ambt als burgemeester van Groningen per 1 november neer te leggen. Er kwam veel kritiek toen duidelijk werd dat de vertrekkende burgemeester tijdens zijn vrijwilligerswerk in Barcelona gebruik wil maken van een wachtgeldregeling.

Behalve dat niemand in Spanje rekening houdt met zijn komst, is er vooralsnog ook op de langere termijn geen bureau of kantoorruimte voor hem beschikbaar. Volgens de UCLG voeren leden als Rehwinkel hun taken vrijwillig uit en doen ze dat altijd vanuit hun eigen standplaats als burgemeester, wethouder of andere gemeentelijke functie.

'Rehwinkel niet benoemd door ons'
Rehwinkel schreef op 3 oktober op zijn facebookpagina bij een congres in Rabat te zijn benoemd tot 'Special Representative on Local Government Disaster Management' van de UCLG. Marie Laure Roa van het hoofkantoor van de UCLG verklaarde gisteren tegenover het AD dat 'meneer Rehwinkel niet is benoemd door ons'. 'Hij heeft zelf voorgesteld te gaan onderzoeken of zoiets mogelijk is,' aldus Marie Laure Roa. 'Wij hebben er ook niets over gepubliceerd omdat er niets concreets is.'

Rehwinkel sprak van een 'al langer bestaande wens om de slachtoffers van natuurrampen en humanitaire crises beter te hulp te kunnen komen'. 'Dat ik mijn bijdrage mag leveren, is waar ik in deze fase van mijn leven uitdrukkelijk voor kies.' De UCLG heeft van Barcelona werkruimte toegewezen gekregen, maar voor Rehwinkel is daar geen plek.

Sollicitatiegesprek en uiterlijke verzorging

Een verzorgd uiterlijk is essentieel voor een sollicitatiegesprek. Er is geen enkele werkgever die iemand zal aannemen, die er onverzorgd bij loopt, tenzij je misschien vanuit huis werkt.

Om het zekere voor het onzekere te nemen doe je er verstandig aan aandacht te besteden aan je uiterlijk voordat je op je fiets stapt naar het sollicitatiegesprek toe. Gepoetste schoenen kunnen je maken of breken. Op basis van de eerste indruk, die doorgaans minder dan 30 seconden duurt, beslist een manager of hij met je in zee wil. De instelling 'ze moeten me nemen zoals ik ben' is uiteraard waar maar geldt niet voor je sollicitatiegesprek. In luttele seconden wordt je beoordeeld van top tot teen en dit is het moment om jezelf van je beste kant te laten zien. Opgepoetst en wel met een brede glimlach.

Uitstraling
Je gekozen kleren dragen je persoonlijkheid en je werkhouding uit. Hoe wil je overkomen? Het liefste kies je een uitstraling die past bij de baan. Is dit vrolijkheid? Als het werk het toelaat dan laat je je pak thuis en kies je voor frisse kleuren. Wil je een autoritaire en formele uitstraling? Dan werkt een driedelig pak goed.

Emmense rijdt dronken naar nieuwe baas

Ze wilde vorig jaar op 28 juni alleen even kijken waar haar nieuwe werkgever was gevestigd, meldde een 52-jarige vrouw uit Emmen maandag bij de politierechter in Assen. Dat zij daarbij dronken haar auto bestuurde, dat was een domme zet, erkende de vrouw.

Ze had als bestuurder vier keer te veel alcohol op. De vrouw werd alleen voor dronken rijden veroordeeld tot een werkstraf van 28 uur en een voorwaardelijke rijontzegging van 10 maanden. Ze hoefde niet meer aan te kloppen bij haar nieuwe werkgever; die zag af van haar diensten.
